Oh ,Oh! Is it starting to happen to me? All the stress after Auto Accident?

I am sort of cut off  right now with no car, no land to sell to get a car this time. Not that I would have been able to safely drive, with wearing a cast and  having broken ribs anyway but the stress of it all with lack of routine of getting around. I seem to be a bit scattered I have noticed lately. I just hope this is not the start of something worse. I feel sorry for my son if it is.

I would rather go to sleep one night and not wake up, then take us through all that. Where one slowly loses who they are, as they fade backwards and then forgets their children or even having had children.

Isn't that sad !!!!

I went through this with my father after some people thought? He was money in their pockets and took him from his cabin. Yes, he mentioned them coming to visit and next thing I knew they wanted him to move out by their place and then I lost contact.

Until someone found him and realized it was my lost father. They gave me directions, so my young children and I visited, he seemed okay at that time. Said nothing about needing my help, when I asked him.  Although it was real strange to me and he said he no longer could drive over to visit, as they had buried his car by their barn. I thought he was confused and they had just parked his car in the barn.

After that they, the church group, contacted me for money for his care? He got checks for his SS etc. But they wanted extra money for themselves! I said oh no, they were not going to get any money out of us! So  soon found out , they packed him up and dumped him in town where our rented Shop for our Leather business was.

The Chief of police was a good friend and told my husband that it seemed my father had appeared suddenly in town again but looked so different with a shaggy beard and wearing this old dark western hat.

My husband went to where the church preachers dumped him. In an old hotel turned into housekeeping rooms, to see for himself and sure enough! It was my father! Gads

I went to visit to see what was going on and he finally told me the story of the Church group and what all took place. He had so much stuff it was still unpacked sitting in one corner of the room. I asked if I could help and he said no he was alright and would slowly get settled in.

You wonder why my husband did not ask him to move to the ranch at that time? Well, my father was a smoker and did not really care for my husband;) Sooooooo.......

But then the owner of the old hotel threw my dad out on the street, because my father smoked and that was a fire waiting to happen so he said. He had my husband come and get all my fathers stuff! Which my husband stored in the hayloft of our barn.

Where was my Father? I found he was Lock away in  part of a hospital. They had him so drugged up he could not see straight. Someone had found him roaming the streets and thought he was confused about being thrown out and losing his belongings and took him to the hospital !

When I finally saw him, All I saw on his face and in his eyes was fear. My heart broke! They said I could not legally take him from there!!!! They were moving him to another place!

Well, so I was busy traveling all over the place trying to keep up with my father!

Finally some people from the first hospital wanted money. So they had a court hearing to make him the ward of the State. I was sent a noticed. A lawyer for the hospital asked the judge to have my father be my ward! So the judge went along with the lawyers advice! I finally could take my father home!!!!!!

Then the Hospital tried to bill me but the State said those bills were all before he was in my care and I did not owe the Hospital a thing! lol I bet they were mad at their Lawyer.

My husband was missing me, with my traveling so much and felt ashamed how he had been about my father and said yes bring my Father home. We redid one of our living rooms on the ground floor for my father. We had three living rooms in that huge old farm house.

So home he came, It felt so good to go to that awful place and show my papers from the Judge , pack up my fathers few things and all the blankets I brought him while he was there and take him home!

That had all been a lot of stress on him! His mind had too many shocks, along with all the strong drugs they kept him on and so after all that his mind started to fade. But before it did, my son got to spend some good times learning how to chop fire wood from his grandfather out at the lean-to wood-shed that was in part of the barn yard.
